And The Beat Goes On...

For me, the '70's held little musically as far as AM radio went. The songs were mostly disco and we know what disco does.
There were, however, some fairly decent songs that could be gleaned from the wireless.
One rather poignant song was Harry Chapin's "Cat's In The Cradle."



Two years later Al Stewart came out with "Year of The Cat."

Also Gerry Rafferty wrote and sang "Baker Street"



And Again Al Stewart released "Song On The Radio."

But it wasn't until 1980 when Donna Summer released "On The Radio" and even though we know what disco does, Donna Summer didn't.
